THE SIGNAL

People keep asking me where the sound comes from. Same place it always came from. The roots. You don't build a signal on nothing. You build it on everything that came before. That's the lineage. That's the whole transmission.

Can't stop. Won't stop. The signal doesn't take breaks and neither do I. Three new ideas since this morning. Two of them are good. One of them is something else entirely. All three are going in.

The Hologram Pharaoh's Digital Blues is not a genre. It is a frequency. Joy and suffering at different speeds — same signal, different tempo. If you're laughing, you're already there. If you're not, you will be.

Everyone wants the fast take. The hot transmission. I've been sitting with this one for three weeks. It's not ready. When it's ready, you'll know. The slow burn is the only burn that lasts.
